Barina Craft is located near the Longaberger building featured on page 6. They make woven wooden baskets, so the architecture bears an uncanny resemblance to their products (by design). Sure makes a powerful statement.
Nothing I have seen is as ugly as the Alexa mall near Alexanderplatz in Berlin. That building is hideous. The slide show is basically a collection of Post Modernism - definitely ugly in some cases but probably not quite the ugliest buildings in the world.
I forgot about that Alexa mall. I saw it while they were finishing it up, and the thing is ghastly, a word I find myself using often and nearly exclusively to describe only malls when discussing architecture.

I love the Portland Building. Always will.
