That review is lousy, and just lazily complained that Lisa should have included people the anonymous blogger thinks are important. How is that a "review?" And Urbana or Radical-Craft? Hardly surprising they aren't in Lisa's book. What have they done? Really.
You're missing my comment. The book is quite good. My irritation was at the plus of a review that was not a review, just someones complaint that Lisa Iwamoto didnt include people the reviewer likes, including two people that dont have any body of original work, or even a big collection of unoriginal work (Urbana and Radical Craft have about 6 projects between the two of them over the past 8 years). What kind of lazy "review" was that? Either review the book, or just write your own.
Although, in general, I think the "DIGITAL FABRICATION" chord is beating a dead horse now.
Oh big bear, apparently you've neither looked at the book nor the firms. Ball-Nogues was arguably the first small practice to explore articulated surfaces. They did it in 2003. Having looked at the boo, I agree with the reviewer that the selection is odd. The last time I read a review, espicially one of a blog length, it wasn't a formal essay either. At least this entry says a little something about the book, offers a little critique and expresses an opinion.
As for Radical Kraft and Urbana did you see their recent show at Storefront. It was awesome!

No need to be nasty. It is an interesting book and there are other reviews (by other bloggers, natch).

It might not have been anything to crack a whip at, but trying to give a little whith-out too much is a hard thing to do.

I am not the least bit offended by the alleged review. It's a blog, not the Times Literary Supplement.
