it's elegant yet extravagant, constrained yet completely over the top...
It looks very beautiful, and unlike some other structures, more of a contemporary version of old train sheds and stations. I think this makes it much richer--beautiful, modern, delicate, dynamic, yet also mindful of the past and the history of rail travel. For a major train station, it doesn't seem over the top to me.
who is the architect?
Wonderful, I've always liked Calatrava.
