Architects Ken Maher (Hassell) and Kim Herforth Nielsen (3XN) have both been honored with the highest architectural awards of their respective home countries: Australian Maher with the Australian Institute of Architects 2009 Gold Medal for Architecture and Danish Nielsen with the C. F. Hansen Medal.
