The architects, who are finishing projects right now are in high demand by the critics. Specially the high profile ones.
Every critic is on a hunt for a new project and if they don't find one, they are opting out for an infrastructure story or ‘the starchitecture is dead’ angle.
It is like; everybody got rid of their silk underwear and put on the kid gloves for harmless boxing...

just wait until some years when the same critics will put on the altars of history these architects from the "icon era", just when they got tired of the new green/austerity/container-houses ones .. it's a cycle that has repeated in architectural history since who knows when.. a critic's glory is to be the first one to react against the present situation and then you rescue what came before.. starchitects will be, in 40 or 50 years, in arch history books.... see that was Borromini, and that was Loos, and that was a woman called Zaha, she was very 'influential' at the turn of the century and marked an epoch when architecture was a joy to see, not like this bullshit we have in 2068
"Zaha Hadid pictured here with 'Adios Amigo' in the year 2525"
now its been ten thousand years
orhans cried a billion tears
for what we never knew
now our reign is through...
vado, i knew it was going to be picked up by you. why is that?.;.)) good four liners there... my compliments, as always.
