Thank you for your lovely contribution! In honor of your efforts, I am launching the first ever Archinect news item renaming competition. It will be on Bustler soon but until then here are the rules:
1. All entries must be submitted by 9:59pm PST February 24th, 2009.
2. All entries must be respectful (and awesome)
3. All entries must be 128 characters or less
4. Feel free to submit as many entries as you like
5. Entries must be posted to this thread
A winner will be chosen by a panel of experts and the news item will be updated with its new title immediately upon completion of judging.
I don't think the title "Norway Has Lost a Hero" is at all disrespectful, in fact I think it's exactly the opposite. Is Sverre Fehn not someone we architects would carry on our shoulders and celebrate? Does "hero" mean something different in Norwegian culture than I think it does?
Certainly it is difficult, j-turn, to see the name of a recently lost member of our community there. But I think the site is a great resource and very appropriate as a memorial for architects.
We have been known, after all, to design our own tombs.

I'm with sectional. The title is borderline disrespectful.

Sad news.
the previous title was less tasteful.
Ah ha. Thank you.
what was the previous title? Anyway, sad news for sure.
that link to death.ofthiswearesure.co is so crass. Who would make such a site? It's just so tacky.
I love death.ofthiswearesure!

I liked the original title of this news post.
Why become a morality police when people die and be totally disrespectful when they are alive?
Not that this applies to posters here. But in general, it happens a lot.
beat a dead horse, anyone?
Norway has lost a Norwegian.
