China is frenetically searching for a CCTV nickname. One name in the running, recently pushed and illustrated by the Shanghai Press, is "The Big Underpants Building". MovingCities adds in "Mocking the Monument" some last Sunday's snapshots of CCTV to the story.

No. They aren't searching for a nickname for it, Beijing taxi drivers have been calling it the 'big pants,' for almost a year.
