As said in the write-up, this issue is riling the AIA, BUT!! This is not an AIA issue, it's an issue for every registered architect in this country, AIA or not. Painting it as an AIA issue mistakenly leaves the vast number of registered architects who are not AIA members feeling left out - which they not only are not, they CAN'T be if we are going to win this fight for the value of registration.
Non-AIA architects, please don't feel sidelined by the AIA here, but do indeed feel marginalized by our government. Then write an angry letter to someone to complain about it. Please.
