The new buildings will be designed by Gary Handel Architects and Roschen Van Cleve Architects, but these renderings, like the rest of it, are conceptual. Landscape starchitect James Corner Field Operations (of New York's High Line and Santa Monica's Civic Center Parks) will design "extensive open space, street-level plazas, and enhanced pedestrian circulation encompassing approximately 25 percent of the entire site." — la.curbed.com

UPDATE: Massive mixed-use project in Hollywood clears a hurdle

Is this video montage supposed to pay homage to the Capitol Record's building as justification for two out of scale monstrosities of development that will overshadow it? It's a tragedy that such an iconic masterpiece is being overshadowed by mediocrity of this scale. True, Hollywood is known for its art, film, literature, and architecture...none of which are done justice with these towers. Adding James Corner to the mix is its only redeeming quality.
^^ what jsarafian said.
overshadow? more like smother with a steel and glass pillow.
them pointing out the greatness of capitol records only sheds light on the weak design their pushing.
