Say ‘Hybrid’ and Many People Will Hear ‘Prius’
Why is the Prius so successful? One answer may be that the Prius has become, in a sense, the four-wheel equivalent of those popular rubber “issue bracelets” in yellow and other colors — it shows the world that its owner cares. NYT

it surely isn't that one Honda made, can't even remember what its called
i can't say that my honda civic hybrid has much of a 'message about me'. it's the most boring car i've ever had. that's sort of what i appreciated about it.
steven, is it because, like me, you've realized that automobiles are merely a means of conveiance, solely meant to transport you from where you are to where you want/need to be?
and maybe also, like me, you don't give a rat's ass what that "says about you".
well, i'm not saying that, exactly. if my civic could LOOK like an h3 ('cause i think that their chunky boxy design is very nice) and still do what it does, i think that would be great. but i've settled for the cleaner-burning, no-flag-waving, high-mileage option. i think my next car should be a '68 bonneville convertible, red with white top, converted to biodiesel.
