The US Conference of Mayors membership will be voting on final adoption of this measure during their Annual meeting which occurs the first week of June. As such, we urge you to contact your Mayor as soon as you can, and ask your mayor to support Resolution 50, which is formally titled Adopting the "2030 Challenge" for City Buildings.
As you know Green buildings are a matter of extreme importance for the future of our environment. The largest source of greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption in America, as well as around the world, is buildings. Buildings account for an estimated 48% of all green house emissions."
The US Conference of Mayors understands the problem, and the Mayors of Chicago, Seattle, Miami, and Albuquerque recently jointly proposed Resolution No. 50, which sets a goal for carbon neutral buildings by 2030. The resolution closely mirrors the goals established in the AIA's Position Statement on Sustainable Practice and would further stakeout a leadership role for architects in addressing the nation's energy needs.

I sent an email to my mayor, Bart Peterson, using the letter template plus a few notes particular to Indy. Thanks for doing this, Arch2030.
somehow i get a feeling that the 2030 website is a side marketing promo for the fellas practice -- list all HIS speaking engagements...what is that what sustainability is about?
TED, I read it (and from seeing Mazria's lecture before) to mean that these lectures are on the issue of Architecture 2030, not his own work.
If you see his lecture you feel that he is passionate about the issue. Plus, Getting this to the US Conference of Mayors sounds like too complicated of a publicity stunt, my guess is that this guy is serious.
