So, as Ban's Nomadic Museum heads to the pier of Santa Monica to open in just a couple of weeks, apparently the original builders welded the structures together so that it had to be trashed. Doh! Now they have taken to designing a new nomadic structural system that “comes apart piece by piece,... so that the exhibitors ought to be able to send it from site to site as originally planned." Uh...How many welders does it take to screw in a lightbulb? Read it here.

Uh... Bryan, how was this the welder's fault? As for the lightbulb question, back when I was a welder I had no trouble replacing lightbulbs on my own.
no offense to welders, of course, and yes, i am sure they were just following intructions. so you're right, sorry scott if i was being offensive. just blows my mind how this escaped them all.
in fact, i wish i could weld...i'd just travel the world making cool shit out of old metals, or go intern for American Chopper or something....make a bike and just cruise.
the fault always lies with the generals. the troops just do what they're told.
bryan check out the application form. if you are interested, they are two doors down from me.
i see the bikes everyday.
