While hiers of the Disney empire look to invest $125 million in privatizing Isreal's military companies, oil refineries and media, another mammoth investment may soon be surfacing along the mouth of the Sea of Galilee. The Holy Land Christian Center will be built on 125 acres of land Isreal is giving to American Church investors for free, to build a sort of biblical theme park for Holy Land vacationers. Even though it is being billed as a regional study center, the project has renewed some boycott voices from U.S. Protestant churches who have been on tenuous terms with Israel over their building of the West Bank Wall. (So far, there appears to be no direct link between the two investments, just good old fashioned irony). - Haaretz
