will be a new round of exhibitions assembled by artists of the intrepid Cape Farewell Project, "a series of sailing voyages into the Arctic, through routes that were previously icebound but are now passable." David Buckland leads expeditions with artists, scientists, and journalists, in hopes of creating more "environmental awareness and understanding of the complex forces at work under the surface of the sea," by using art to "illustrate the workings of this crucial part of the planet and engage the public in the debate about climate change." The project recently won a national e-science award, and has produced extremely cool exhibitions, most recently Alex Hartley's show: Don't want to be part of your world. Up next: The Ice Garden.
