Last night ADPSR announced the 12 finalists for the Prison Design Boycott Poster Competition at an exhibit at CCA. There were some interesting discussions generated between members of the prison design boycott campaign and Archinect members among the crowd.

ha! the posters were all very interesting, but also very different. which, i think could make ALL of them useful if applied in different contexts. While some seemed very appropriate for da street, others would be much more successful carefully placed in the office environments of design firms. And while another looked like it would make a funky party flier, there was one, yes, that seemed ultimately like it belonged on a fancy schmancy wine bottle. and wine not? people should be thinking about this issue wherever they turn, as far as I'm concerned.
lots of range and versatility, and i think that made for a good turnout, as not just the winners could be used, but ALL of the posters offered strong potential for promoting this campaign in a number of different ways, which ADPSR had already done an awesome job of so far. keep it up!
Great job to you too, Juan, and thanks for covering and participating in this so passionately!
