oh come on!!! i recommended that book two months ago. how can it possibly be considered news now?
by the way, for all you "haters" out there (is that the word you kids are using these days?), it was actually recommended to me by a real estate developer with more than 30 years in the business. lesson learned = not all crusty, old republicans are evil-doers.
its not up here because its a book. its here because of the interview with Kunstler (I guess everyone does know who Lenny Lopate is) So if people want to read the book, because of the interview or because you are reading it, then they should go for it.
otherwise don't be a hater because you posted the book in the discussions. And if you feel so strongly about this book write a review and sent to Javier so people can here more about it.
thanks...and no, i'm not "hating", i'm just surprised that it got mentioned now given that the book has been out since april and rolling stone featured an excerpt last march. i guess that i've come to expect instant updates from the archinect news section and this just seemed like old news to me.

interview quote
"the american dream way of life is the greatest misallocation of resources in the history of the world, which has very poor prospects for the future."
