The U.S. spent roughly $20 million turning a sandstone palace into a state of the art military defense station, now the Iraqi National Assembly wants it back and the U.S. military is struggling to hang on. In Afghanistan, military action there has resulted in a huge building boom that is only disenfranchising Afghanis all the more.
