Snøhetta will follow up on its recent Joslyn Art Museum project with the design for the new Omaha Children's Museum in Nebraska. The project was updated this week and includes a 175-seat performance room, a cafe, and a play-workshop. Rubberized mounds placed in its forecourt will activate additional space, "inviting visitors to climb and play before experiencing everything the museum has to offer inside." Snøhetta also recently completed the 70,000-square-foot El Paso Children's Museum (aka La Nube) and Far Rockaway Library in Queens.

Buzz your girlfriend... Woof!
Ugh. Bad student work.
The least they could have done is have a reveal between the yellow and orange parts
Note how it interacts with the park area, where I assume Snøhetta had a hand.
I like this. It's a children's museum, playful, upbeat, and engaging, that adds a distinctive note to an area without much going for it. It also announces and promotes childhood itself in a world where architecturally it tends to get put aside. Kids keep us alive.
yes, for sure but this looks like a heavily VEd idea of something that could have been very playful ...
I'm sorry, but how is this a successful interaction with the park? What gesture is the building making towards the park?
