Heatherwick Studio continues to expand its residential project portfolio as they share their latest high-rise residential project in Vancouver, Canada. In partnership with Kingswood Properties and commissioned by Bosa Properties, the design aims to "bring a new level of global design excellence to Vancouver, featuring two curvaceous, light-filled towers and a publicly-accessible ground level plaza for community engagement" shares the studio.
While more details of the project have yet to unfold, previous Heatherwick residential projects offer glimpses of what can be expected for the studio's latest Vancouver venture.

Apparently Canada has had a 9.0 earthquake, see link below. I like the work, however, it has an eccentric look.

probably the worst design I’ve ever seen. Imagine the terror of being forced to live anywhere in or near this project. Makes you nauseous to look at
Heatherwick's work doesn't seem to translate well into a full architectural scale - feels like a model that was blown up with little resolution or detailing. The installations could be great, stuff at the scale of the Vessel are a hit or miss, but their buildings are consistently rough at the edges. They want to create this organic, flowing style but the curves and swoops look crude even in the renders and even worse after construction. ZHA and MAD resolve the tension between form and material better but Heatherwick occupies a unique market position between art and architecture. They're definitely a favorite of developers in the Asia Pacific.
Heatherwick was an industrial designer, so his work is easier to sell because it reminds people of a vacuum cleaner or visual object. But that’s not what good architecture is.
Another masterpiece from the Cheez Whiz.
Cheesy:
cheap, unpleasant, or blatantly inauthentic
