Stan Wischnowski, the top editor of The Philadelphia Inquirer, resigned on Saturday, days after an article with the headline “Buildings Matter, Too,” on the effects of civil unrest on the city’s buildings, led to a walkout by dozens of staff members. — The Philadelphia Inquirer
The inappropriate and offensive headline, conceived for a column written by The Philadelphia Inquirer architecture critic Inga Saffron, drew widespread condemnation from the public and journalists at the newspaper alike, and resulted in the newspaper's editors issuing a public apology for writing the headline.
I was glad to see @PhillyInquirer respond with this apology and explanation for the unfortunate headline that accompanied my column Tuesday. I am deeply sorry for the trauma it caused black people in Philly, and my black and brown newsroom colleagues. https://t.co/N5f5uusQhY

Ironic such a good column is being overshadowed by a dumb headline. A headline that, in any other world, makes a good point.
Interesting that the editor oversaw the doubling of minority staff in 4 years and probably didn't write the headline. Which makes you wonder what the deeper currents are. Which is to say, does The Movement even need a justification?
'trauma'? really?
trau·ma | \ ˈtrȯ-mə also ˈtrau̇- \ plural traumas also traumata\ ˈtrȯ-mə-tə also ˈtrau̇- \
Definition of trauma
1a: an injury (such as a wound) to living tissue caused by an extrinsic agent
b: a disordered psychic or behavioral state resulting from severe mental or emotional stress or physical injury
c: an emotional upset the personal trauma of an executive who is not living up to his own expectations — Karen W. Arenson
2: an agent, force, or mechanism that causes trauma
Is context a foreign concept to you? Yeah, Philadelphia, a notoriously racist city, where black people have been bombed, and where a racist mayor openly talked about being for "white people", yeah, trauma.
Do you actually believe that people are so frail that this headline caused them trauma? This is nothing more than “gotcha” culture. The Overall movement is creating some needed solidarity and unity, let’s not get petty and bring things into trans abortions and micro aggression territory again. Didn’t you learn anything in 2016...gonna annoy people into voting trump again.
