It's a new year and a new school term, so that means it's time for Archinect's latest edition of Get Lectured, an ongoing series where we feature a school's lecture series—and their snazzy posters—for the current term. Starting on January 27, the University of Virginia School of Architecture's Spring '20 lecture series lineup includes Jimenez Lai, Beatriz Colomina, Ferda Kolatan, Jonathan Tate, Sandra Barclay + Jean Pierre Crousse, Mary Kuhn, Fuensanta Nieto, Mauricio Rocha + Gabriela Carrillo, Erich Theophile, John Kett, and Mauricio Lopez.
Some other events this semester include the “Landscape Perspectives, Making Common Ground” panel, the “Designing Nature In: Innovations in Biophilic Buildings and Real Estate” symposium, the 2020 Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medalist in Architecture lecture, the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers dedication ceremony, and exhibitions featuring the works of Bureau Spectacular, UVA Barcelona / UVA Venice, UVA China, Barclay+Crousse, select works from the 2020 Thomas Jefferson Medalist, and more.
