The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program at Kent State University, College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) prepares graduates to be progressive leaders in the field of architecture by developing technical skills, professional knowledge, and design creativity through the exploration of project-based learning. Located in Kent, at the edge of the Kent State Campus and downtown Kent, College of Architecture and Environmental Design has become an iconic and developing hub for interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments and colleges across the campus and beyond.
Rooted in the traditional interdisciplinary interest of the college, Kent State M.Arch program has an established association with different industrial and academic set-ups nationally and internationally. Focusing on design as a core, M.Arch program at Kent State University tries to push the boundaries of contemporary understanding of Architecture as both a practice and a discipline.
Throughout the M.Arch program and through multiple option studios, professional, theory and experimental seminars, students start to define their intellectual and professional pathways. In addition to recently renovated studio and classroom spaces in Cleveland, Ohio and Florence, Italy, the CAED's Kent-based award-winning, LEED Platinum building offers state of the art facilities including Robotics Labs, Computer Labs, Lighting Lab, Gallery, Café, Architecture Library, Fabrication Lab, and a full spectrum of digital and analog fabrication tools.
Kent State’s NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture (M.Arch) program is open to applicants with a B.A. or B.S. degree in any academic major. Advanced placement opportunities are available for students with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
