The University of Toronto's John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design recently kicked off their 2018-19 lecture series, “Home and Away”. Taking place at the Daniels Faculty's new Main Hall, this year's lecture series brings together an international lineup of speakers for discussions and debates on global design issues.
Depicted on a colorful lecture series poster, “each set of Home and Away speakers are represented by different ‘game flags,’ highlighting the Faculty’s role as an arena for debate and the exchange of ideas on how architecture, landscape, art, and urbanism can effect meaningful change in society today,” the school explains.
Hear from speakers like Toronto filmmaker and MacArthur fellow Jennifer Baichwal and landscape architect Kate Orff, Daniels Faculty professor Brigitte Shim and London-based architect Alison Brooks, Mauricio Pezo and Sofia von Ellrichshausen, critic Michael Sorkin, and more.
