A source exclusively confirms that architecture and design aficionado Pitt recently met accomplished Oxman through an MIT architecture project and they have since become friends. Pitt was referred to Oxman to collaborate on an architectural project he was working on, we’re told.
As first revealed on “Page Six TV,” a source told us, “Brad and Neri instantly hit it off because they share the same passion for architecture, design and art. This is best described as a professional friendship.”

I CAN HARDLY BREATHE, I'm so excited by the possibilities! And so envious of both of them getting to spend time and collaborate with the other! This is huge and wonderful.
With his funding, track record of helping those in need and public appearance and her know how, inventiveness and academic background I see a bright future for those most in need of architectural services and least able to afford them. I'd love to witness them tackle homelessness in general.
What about 3d printed instant homeless shelters for example? Go Neri! Go Brad!
Interestingly, People Magazine is the best article I've read so far that talks about *Neri Oxman's* accomplishments far more than about Brad Pitt. http://people.com/movies/5-thi...
Also, here is a link to the Sessions in which we talk about seeing Neri Oxman present in Philly. The entire room was *blown away* by her presentation. She is an architect to whom I give my highest praise, whether it be an architect or carpenter or engineer or trash collector: she knows her shit and that always impresses the hell out of me.

Maybe this is a kind of brilliant design-media trolling — the only way an architect can get featured in pop media is to date Brad Pitt. Though I’m not really a fan of TED talk architecture (design-art) that requires wall text to understand — if then. Or the MoMA-MIT stuff where we cycle through hype tech of the week. 3D printing? Houses that fit in your pocket? How about wood and concrete? Nah, that’s not sexy...
I hear you, Chemex, but honestly the work Oxman is doing at MIT is way, way beyond the green-tech-wash Rendering of the Week that many architects put out.
Yeah it looks interesting but maybe MIT ML needs a “follow through on zany ideas” department ... reminds me of WW2 gen when Aalto and co were putting out crazy prototypes and getting them done. MIT doesn’t operate with that urgency anymore
