Elon Musk announced that the Boring Company will sell LEGO-like interlocking bricks made from rock that his tunneling machines excavate from the earth. Musk stated these bricks will be sold in "kits" and will be rated to withstand California's earthquakes.
The date of availability or cost of this latest product is unknown. While his company has only started digging shorter tunnels there is not enough upturned rock to begin making these bricks yet.

If he can make this work at a good pricepoint this could be very interesting.
I love this!
ALL stuff taken out of the ground has value depending on how it is extracted; but value changes according to processing and transportation expense and rarity; the whole process of tunneling is great to move water around because you get full volume traveling, unlike autos where a tiny volume is accommodated — very inefficient, especially when mandatory self driving vehicles will be here before any tunnel gets finished and all traffic problems are gone. Musk should dig from the ocean to the Salton Sea and or Death Valley and use the pressure differential to change salt water to fresh.
Hey Jerome! Regarding your "tunnel from the Salton Sea and/or Death Valley to the ocean" idea: what salt water is being made fresh? The Salton Sea is actually saltier than the ocean by about 25 percent! Also, a canal from the Pacific to either the Salton Sea or Death Valley would be absolutely disastrous...

We will disrupted the CMU by applying the logic of industrial ecologies to out project, benefiting from this secondary cashflow by creating a market of people willing to pay more for the material by volume than what it would bear as aggregate...
I replied to kikkidy but cant seem to post it:
There’s a new nano filter that removes the salt particles.
How could the Salton Sea be any more disasterous than it is now?
Death Valley filled with water would be a great resource for Las Vegas, now desperate for water; Lake Meade is drying up.
Iterating “...absolutely disasterour...” without reason is not proper conversation; a tunnel is not a canal, but a canal would work from LA and then south to Baja making San Diego an island. Nice!
Great link!— thanks.
