Yisrael Katz, Israel's transport minister, has said he plans to name a future train station in Jerusalem "Donald John Trump" Station, after the U.S. President controversially recognized the city as Israeli's capital earlier this month. The station is part of a contentious proposal to extend Jerusalem’s high-speed rail line to the Western Wall, the holiest site where Jews are permitted to pray. Plans for the project involve the construction of two underground stations and the excavation of more than two miles of tunnel underneath the Old City, a politically and historically sensitive area of Jerusalem.
