Ueberall International, an LA based design firm, in partnership with E Ink created DAZZLE, an interactive work of public art at the San Diego airport's new rental car station.
The interactive facade is created with e-paper, a technology similarly used in e-readers, but applied here on an architectural scale. Made with over 2,000 interactive tiles, the installation spans a third of a mile. The design is inspired by Norman Wilkinson’s “Razzle Dazzle” camouflage technique used on ships during World War I.
