Martin Roth, a German and director of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, sees the result of the UK's referendum as a personal defeat. — DW
One of the contributing factors for the V&A's director Martin Roth to leave the V&A was Brexit, he tells DW:
"Our international networks will not collapse, but their background is being questioned. Until now, we had assumed we were all working together towards a common platform. Now that platform has been smashed."
Although perhaps not the only reason Roth left, as The Guardian reports, such a high profile figure in the creative profession publicly announcing his distain for Brexit cannot have a positive impact on the UK's integrity as a leader in the creative arts.

Ignoramus voters expressing their will! Curses! I'll show them, I'll show them all-- I'll quit their precious "museum" to show my superiority! Then they'll know.
The EU and especially the Euro is a horrible deal from day one for many Europeans...especially Southern Europeans. The unemployment rate in Spain is near 50%. Their economy has been decimated. Businesses have been regulated and taxed into extinction...
^ To which our hero responds: " Heathen! That is just the 'Me-first mentality' to which I was referring, in my brilliance!"
