The project, estimated at 400 million euros, or $433 million, features designs by the architects Eva Jiricna, Richard Meier and John Pawson, in addition to the 10 emerging firms, three of which are Czech and seven that are British. — The New York Times

Wow, think I'm going to move.
Here is the development website http://www.theoaksprague.cz/index.html
cool
every home comes with a free giacometti
<yawn>
Another ultra-lux recreational housing development ... this is news because of the branding?
Interesting. It reminds me of Weissenhof Estate with roofs and a New Urbanist plan.
now if we could just get the developing countires to quit fucking and having so many babies, this could become the example of a future sustained earth. everyday for everyone could be like this......residual thoughts of curremt reading creeping through.......quit fucking poorasfuckasstan! we dont accept immigrants and dont need your population. thought the war and robbery of your resources fixed this. the injected virus of delusional religion.....off to work
In real Bohemian farm villages everyone works as farmers or craftsmen, etc. In modern times the word has come to mean something equivalent to artistic gypsy, one who rejects conventionality in life.
The people who vacation / retire here are not going to be mowing the lawn of the golf course let alone their own lawns, and they are certainly not going to be unconventional in any respect other than economic, which is of course completely conventional.
This is a half-billion dollar luxury development headlined by a starchitect. Once gain, bullshit is king, second only to the Queen ($).
fucking posers!
Aside from all the rich-jokes, if you look at their website it’s an interesting concept that could be a model for something more reasonable....homes by architects only is a good place to start…the list of “services” is interesting with emphasis on children, shared transportation…..better than Sea Ranch which is coveted.
