This is a good article that delves into cultural and technological issues both. Also, layering is *always* a smart fashion approach, and the fact that more men tend to wear summer business clothing that covers up more of their skin than women do supports, IMO, the idea that visible shoes and arms aren't appropriate office attire (-----ducks behind desk to avoid barbs slung by flip-flop aficionados-----).
No AC required here, I prefer to work naked.
Duh, I screwed up: not visible shoes but visible TOES. Of course one's shoes should be visible, and they should be rendering one's toes INvisible.
Isnt this what windows are for? We keep ours propped open in the summer to let the cold out.
The problem with visble feet isnt what you see (usually) but what you sometimes smell. There is no tactful way to tell a coworker her feet smell like dead things.
...Another reason to keep the windows open.
