Does it make sense for Qatar to host the 2022 World Cup? German architect Albert Speer, whose office is in charge of the project, says yes -- and is doing all he can to ensure sustainability. In a SPIEGEL interview, he says how.

Actually a very thoughtful guy, worth reading. He interviews better than Zaha... The 3 of them give some good pushback in the interview without being nasty.
SPIEGEL: Would you refuse to work in a country that keeps political prisoners and has the death penalty?
Defensive, deflecting, and condescending, great ways to do an interview regarding a fairly controversial project. Things got pretty intense, I did have to chuckle when the interviewer got on to querying Speer about working for dictators and autocrats...

Klos: You are referring to the US and Guantanamo?
SPIEGEL: No, that wasn't a reference to the US.
