Today, Uber is announcing UberPool, a new feature that will let you pick up other riders on the way to your destination and split the bill.

Silicon Valley: all of the best new technology for stalkers and creeps to "pick up."
perhaps they should try inventing something useful... I was fine with taxis.

Lyft just announced a similar service, Lyft Line (currently only available in San Francisco, but beats out UberPool by nine days).
