I hate to think it is just the polish and more formalized presentation when compared to images presented from the USC review but I find myself attracted to this work more.
Maybe it is also the more site specific urban nature of the proposal? OR even just there beauty as objects. Particularly the building in that top image.
good work - and a lot of it. i had the opportunity to attend this review and the midterm and the leap forward was tremendous.
they were dealing with some very complicated programs and difficult (and yes, nam, pretty specific) urban challenges, and - on top of it all - each team did some very focused research to build arguments to back up their design approaches.
