Cooper Union, in conjunction with the Drawing Center, has an awesome new show of Paul Rudolph's never-realized LOMEX. Robert Moses, in the ultimate fit of slum clearance, planned to link the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and the Holland Tunnel with an 8-lane superhighway-- bulldozing the Lower East Side and Soho in the process. The project was never realized until now, thanks to a massive model built in a feverish two months by Cooper students. Observer
