The National Weather Center and Science Museum is located in Norman, OK across the street from the National Weather Center. The design stems from the idea of visitors learning about weather by removing them from it. Since Norman, OK is prime territory for tornadoes, a bunker-like structure is the main form, thus making the musuem not only for its purpose but also a safe place for city inhabitants during tornadoes.
