The proposed project is intended to provide a unique cultural experience where the Lake Tahoe regional maritime heritage is preserved, enjoyed, and passed along to future generations through innovative interpretation and public education.  

The site is designed as an experiential campus consisting of the addition of three new buildings along with remodeling the existing log lodge structure, gardens and public art displays, lawn / picnic areas, activity ponds, interpretive exhibits, and a linkage network of natural paths and developed walkways / boardwalks.  .
