The plan for the Moore Ranch properties in the eastern area of the City of Lincoln was conceived as a series of self-contained villages that could provide a variety of housing densities as well as basic commercial and civic services within a walk -able and more compact development. Transportation choices characterize the infrastructure planning so that sole dependence on auto transport is minimized, while the spatial aspects of developed areas are greatly improved. This proposal became the genesis of the adopted City of Lincoln General Plan in 2004-2005.
