This restoration project at 88 St was a complete gut and installation project for a family looking for a traditional home in a great location with ample common area spaces.
The original structure – run down by the previous owner – required not only an urgent make-up but also a reorganization of the interior layout to accommodate the contemporary living styles.
Swapping one of the secondary bedrooms with a newly renovated master bedroom allowed the latter to have a complete view of the rear yard, a walk-in closet, and a well-lit master bathroom.
Additionally, we opened up the common areas, allowing a larger kitchen and island area with top-of-line appliances and fixtures while also connecting to the dining room and overseeing a beautifully enclosed Florida Room with three sides glazed from top to bottom, connecting interior and exterior as one.
Overall this home experienced the ultimate transformation that an mid 1950s house could have today, allowing future users to enjoy a modern-style living on a more traditional style residence.
