Los Angeles, CA | San Francisco, CA | New York, NY
Located on Melrose Avenue, the design of the Los Angeles boutique of Costume National explored the qualities of natural and artificial light.
The windows on the façade were lengthened to maximize the height of the interior and strengthen the store’s connection with the street. Interior furnishings, display cases, and simple interior palette of white and stainless steel were designed to be consistent with the brand’s sophisticated image. Incorporating concealed lighting, the display cases appear to float, highlighting the clothing. A pearl gray concrete floor and upholstered leather seating add depth to the restrained color palette.
