A risk-based approach extending the life of the community. The goal is to extend the life of a threaten Coney  Island by the ongoing sea level rise and storm surge, but taking it as an opportunity to create conditions that extend the life of the community. This proposal grows into resiliency with three chronological phases: A new infrastructural protective boardwalk, a programmatic dam in the creek and the incorporation of water canals on the streets. This Wellness District redefines fitness for all ages by messing with peoples’ habits promoting synergy between the wisdom of the seniors and the energy of the young. The new connectivity of this interventions fosters the exchange of inter-generational information, augmenting the body in a variety of virtual ways, attempting to reconnect what is broken in the peninsula.
