The 16x16 module is a project carried out after my undergraduate studies collaboration with my faculty advisor Dr. Federico López Castro. The purpose was to explore a system and material of uncommon use in Mexico in order to create a habitable space that could fit in several contexts. The design takes advantage of wood´s standardized English system of measurement in order to modulate the structure and minimize materials. This research lead us to create two full-scale prototypes in the natural context of Allende, Nuevo León, Mexico.
