About

I hold a degree in Architecture with the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona.  I also spent a further year studying for my Master in architecture, archaeology and museum design where I qualified in March 2014. After that I took two postgrade studies in the Official Association of Architects of Catalonia in Barcelona; the first one was about Structural restoration based mainly in steel structures and the second one was of facade and roof restoration.

My passion for history and building restoration took me in 2010 to the Eramus Exchange Programme in Milan, Italy which gave me the opportunity of specialising in building restoration and sustainable architecture.

For the past 2 years, I have been working for an Architects Group in Begur a coastal town in Northern Spain where the projects have been mainly residential and retail projects.  During this period I have been working on all these differents projects and also on all the different phases of them. The architects have given to me the opportunity of being involved not only on the design or drafts parts but also on the project management and construction execution. This connfidence have helped me to grew up professionaly, feel more independent and gain more experience as an architect. Although I enjoy what I do, I would very much like to work on a broader range of projects involving different types of architecture to challenge my skills.

This past month of August I’ve been in Tibet doing a volunteer program in architecture. The aim of the project was to provide a water tank  and electricity to the people who live in the monastery and the surrounding villages.

I’m dynamic, hard working and work well as part of a team.  I can work under pressure and against deadlines. I am a committed person and really positive and enthusiastic while working.

Employment

Jane-Font arquitectura i interiorisme, Begur, ES, Junior architect

I got the job when I was still finishing my Master degree program. During these two years I have been able to work on different projects and step by step taking more responsibilities. Right now I am capable of leading a project by myself and manage and organize the different phases of these projects. Professionally, I feel the studio has given to me the chance to grow up and improve my skills and abilities.

Education

Accademia Adrianea, Rome, IT, Masters, Master

Multiple sites in different locations where individual design workshops are held. Each workshop is methodologically autonomous, relating to the difference of approach and establishing a site-specific relationship between museum design, architecture and archeology. The master’s degree program is composed of ten learning experiences situated in an equal number of important and prestigious international locations.
Its goal is the creation of competence both specific and interdisciplinary at the same time, such as to facilitate the development of an operative, analytical, design and management relationship between architects and archaeologists
