The building’s main façade is a conceptualization of opening curtains and artistic performances, resembling the structures used to assemble a stage and the transparency within the layers found in a play’s scenery.
A gradient from dark gray to white is formed with square tiles on both sides. This concept was implemented to illustrate lighting and shadows in theater, which give life to every performance.
To integrate some of the local culture and traditions, bamboo was chosen as the main material, creating a contemporary look with geometric lines and figures.
The theatre standards and layouts were reviewed with the local acting and performing community.
