University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning

The Center for Innovation in Teaching & Learning is a hub of hands-on activity to explore and work with higher education trends, models, projects, and resources. CITL uses leading pedagogical approaches, including active learning styles, research-based methodologies, and innovative instructional technologies. The spaces encourage colleagues and students to share ideas, collaborate on new developments, and strengthen skills and strategies.

The office suite features a hybrid concept of zones to accommodate different work styles and settings. A number of flexible breakout spaces accommodate either group or individual work. The main office area offers an open plan with adjustable height, sit-stand desks and chairs for individual work around the perimeter and tables for discussions in the center. Conference and work group rooms with transparent walls provide space for more private discussions.
