HTI is the lead initiative of EnterpriseWorks on the University of Illinois at Chicago campus. The program focuses on Health, Technology, and Innovation in collaborative incubator space shared by scientists, engineers, clinicians, and investors. The renovation was aimed at creating dynamic spaces for validating ideas, converting innovation into products, and accelerating venture readiness.

Program components of the incubator space include wet and dry labs, private and shared offices, meeting and conference spaces, training rooms, a multipurpose lounge, and a kitchen. All equipment and furnishings, including walls of marker boards throughout, encourage interaction.

HTI envisioned a sophisticated feel to encourage cutting edge thought and exploration. A custom reception desk and bold graphic wall visually relay the creative energy animating the spaces, while a bright color palette and vibrant carpet patterns define public, private, and circulation areas.
