Green Street Realty Fields South Mixed Use Development

LCM Architects is providing architecture services to Green Street Realty for the development of two mixed-use buildings. The identical three-story buildings, each 44,700 sf, include 56 one- and two-bedroom apartments and first level retail and office space, for which LCM is designing tenant build outs.

Complementing exterior elements of other buildings in the development, the Fields South building exteriors are inspired by the monumental windows and minimal ornamentation of pre-war industrial facades. In keeping with this theme, LCM incorporated punched monolithic openings to emphasize verticality. Dark gray, cable hung steel balconies contribute to the modern feel.

The siting of these buildings creates a prominent plaza that is further accentuated by the structures’ height and detailing. Located on axis with two anchors of the Carle at the Fields development - a hotel and the LCM-designed Carle Foundation Hospital Administrative Building - the plaza will provide a destination venue for the community.
