Willamina & Me Hair Salon as a school project in which I had to design a salon which could function efficiently as well as offer a relaxing and welcoming environment. I decided to focus on a design that is both modern and chic. The exterior of the salon features a dark walnut baseboard that is carried out throughout the salon as flooring. The salon storefront is displayed in an all glass windows and doors to represent not only the products on hand but it’s clean and simplistic style that is hospitable to customers. Once entering the salon the salon is designed to create an atmosphere of innovation and excellence. The customers will be greeted right away by the salon’s receptionist who is located in front of a great, beautiful, stonewall. The mix of warm and cool colors of the stonewall will carry throughout the salon as well as the deep rich chocolate furniture and fabric finishes. In order to keep with the salons eloquence the salon will feature black and white photographs along the walls as well as a silver metal frame mirrors.
