This project is a joint
partnership between the city of Redwood
City and the YMCA. The public-private
partnership enables the city to promote
health and wellness by enhancing the
community’s recreational resources. The
two buildings will be connected through
a promenade that increase the social park
space and welcomes pedestrians into the
park from Madison Ave.
In addition to the two building, the
project includes methods of calming
traffic on the surrounding residential
streets. Four intersections are to be
improved with traffic calming tools such
as roundabouts, curb extensions and
pedestrian islands.
