Toilet Restoration & Sanitation Project

This project was completed at the Shree Santa Krishna Primary School, where majority of the students come from low-income families. During the 2015 earthquake the school and it’s toilet buildings were damaged, leading to serious sanitation concerns. Two of the toilets were blocked and the urinals needed a new water supply. In addition, the urinal rooms needed their drains repaired. International Disaster Volunteers responded to the school's needs. As Construction Project Coordinator it was my job to ensure that the toilet buildings were restored to function properly. In addition, the exterior of the toilet buildings were painted and the surrounding walkways were re-poured.
