The creative context of Granville Island consists many artisan shops, cafes, theaters and the design school, Emily Carr. I wrote the program for the vacant lot located on Railspur Alley, on the south side of the island. My chosen program consists of various dance studios, a restaurant, a fitness attire store, a health food cafe, a theater and extended stay units.

The form of the building was designed with a bridge spanning across the center to emphasize the axis of Railspur Alley. The internal programs are represented by the various forms and piecemeal nature of the building.
